Festival Info

PAROOKAVILLE 2024 will take place from 19 to 21 Juli 2024 at Airport Weeze (NRW, Germany).

Friday, 19 Juli 2024, 14:00 - 04:00
Saturday, 20 Juli 2024, 14:00 - 04:00
Sunday, 21 Juli 2024, 14:00 - 01:00

To enter PAROOKAVILLE you must be at least 18 years old. No exceptions due to safety reasons!

All headliners and the latest line-up can be found in the app or PAROOKAVILLE Website.

There are two things you need for the check-in to the festival site/campsite:

  1. PAROOKAVILLE Visa (e.g., Regular Full Weekend Visa) as printed version or e-ticket. To ensure that everything works well when using an e-ticket, please make sure that you have downloaded your ticket in advance, that your phone battery is charged and that your ticket is clearly readable/scannable (e.g., in case of a damaged display).
  2. A valid ID card! Alternatively, a valid passport or driving license is also possible. A picture or a copy of your ID document is NOT enough!

Expired ID documents or other documents (e.g., student ID, health insurance card, bank card, etc.) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

NOTE: Since the PAROOKAVILLE Visa are personalized, only people whose name on the ticket (“ticket holder”) and the name on the ID document match will be admitted. There are NO EXCEPTIONS! Further information regarding re-personalization is stated in Ticket Infos.

Campsite Citizens can commute back and forth between the campsite, festival site and parking lot at any time. This also applies to Glamping Resort Citizens. All other citizens (hotel guests, day guests, etc.) are only allowed to enter and leave the festival site once per day and will not be allowed back in.

At all food and beverage counters as well as almost all attractions in PAROOKAVILLE payments are made with ING Tokens. ING Tokens are available at the ING Bank of PAROOKAVILLE and can be purchased by cash or debit and credit cards. ING Tokens can only be exchanged at the ING Banks of PAROOKAVILLE on the festival site or at the campsite (see map, which will be published right before the festival). Please keep in mind the opening hours for exchanges. An exchange/return after PAROOKAVILLE 2024 is NOT possible!

ATTENTION: To return ING Tokens you must present your PAROOKAVILLE ticket. So, make sure to have your e-ticket ready on your phone!

Booze Bags can be booked as an add-on either directly in the order process or via the MyTicket portal. They include 20 ING Tokens and 3 ING Tokens free of charge.

Our tokens and the Bank of PAROOKAVILLE are powered by ING again this year. ING Tokens are the official currency on the festival site and are also available on site. Drinks and food can only be purchased with ING Tokens.

The Booze Bags must be collected on presentation of the ticket at the staffed containers of the ING Bank of PAROOKAVILLE on the festival or camping site.

ATTENTION: An exchange / return of ING Tokens of the Booze Bags is not possible!

Neither drinks nor food are allowed to bring to the festival site. Free drinking water will be available at several locations, and a wide selection of food and drinks will be available at festival-friendly prices. The only drinking utensil you are allowed to bring to the city EMPTY is a foldable (plastic) drinking bottle with a capacity of up to 0.5 liters. Soon you will be able to buy one of these in our PAROOKAVILLE boutique!

Since the health of our Citizens is close to our hearts, you will get free drinking water at several places in PAROOKAVILLE. The locations will be announced in the City Map right before the festival.

Powerbanks will be available at the festival site and the campsites. The powerbanks can only be purchased on site at the Townhall and at the Marketplace of the Base Camp. Once purchased, you can always exchange the powerbank as soon as it is empty. Endless Power - with green electricity.

On the festival site and the campsites there will be lockers in two different sizes to store valuables.

  • Size M: 27cm x 23cm x 40cm; storage space for 2 - 3 summer jackets or a small backpack
  • Size L: 29cm x 37cm x 40cm; storage space for 3 - 5 summer jackets or a medium backpack

You can book the lockers as an add-on (as long as stocks last) in your personal MyTicket portal or on site (depending on availability). When purchasing add-ons on site, additional costs must be expected.

NOTE: The locker can only be used during the opening hours of the festival site.

We will provide enough restroom areas (including barrier-free toilets) in our city. The restroom areas are well distributed and easily accessible for everyone. The use of all toilets is free of charge. All toilets are free and are cleaned several times a day. If fresh toilet paper is still needed or a toilet is dirty, please inform the cleaning team on site.

During a festival, internet and network availability may be limited. However, all providers will be on site this year and will do their best to ensure optimal accessibility. For all VIP-Citizens there will be free wifi on the VIP decks.

For medical emergencies of all kinds, paramedics and rescue workers are on site around the clock. The locations of the medical stations can be found on our map, which will be published right before the festival. The escape routes and emergency exits for the emergency services must be kept clear at all times.

Of course you can bring medication with you to the festival. Please be sure to bring prescription medications in their original packaging along with a doctor's note. Necessary cooling options for medication are available at the local medical stations.

We are doing our best to make sure that we all have the weekend of our lives together at PAROOKAVILLE. Too much alcohol or illegal drugs can bring the party to an end faster than we want it to. Therefore, you should take care of yourself and your friends already at the check-in. Furthermore, we follow a zero-tolerance policy! Whoever is caught with illegal drugs, e.g. during the checks at the city gates or the controls at the festival, will be handed over to the police immediately and will not be allowed to enter the festival.

Spending the night at the parking lot (also in the cars!) is strictly forbidden!

ATTENTION: All vehicles that are still in the “P Tagesparker” parking lot after the festival site closes on Monday morning (22 July 2024) will be towed away for a fee. The “P Campsite” and “P Caravan Empire” car park must be cleared by 4:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the latest.

The official Lost & Found office is located in the Townhall. Here you can pick up missing items and hand in found items. After the festival all lost and found items will be handed over to the lost & found office of the community of Weeze.

It is very important to us that all Citizens feel comfortable and safe at our festival. Therefore, we want to make you aware of the following:

  • Always look out for each other and help if you can
  • Always keep an eye on your drinks
  • Always have your personal and most important items (e.g., money, cell phone, ID card) with you
  • Try to dress appropriate to the current weather conditions
  • In case of any problems, you can always ask the security staff for help. You can find them on the entire festival site
  • If you feel uncomfortable, are injured or you simply have a question about hygiene, you can always go to the Johanniter stations. You can find these on the map in the PAROOKAVILLE app, which we will release right before the festival
  • Enable push notifications in the app so we can always reach out to you in case of emergencies during the festival
  • Check out our safety instructions, which you can find in our City Guide, at the City Gates and in the Townhall. Other important information can be found on the billboards located throughout the city and at the campsite. You can also ask the staff at the info points (e.g., at the Townhall) at any time
  • Pay attention to the instructions of the security staff, especially in emergencies like evacuations

We want you to enjoy music for a long time to come - so take care of your ears! That's why we provide all Citizens in PAROOKAVILLE with free earplugs which are available in the Townhall.

Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather conditions. Therefore, look at weather forecasts and bring appropriate clothing!

Especially in summer, the intensity of the sun can be very high and lead to a sunburn/sunstroke. Our advice: Dress appropriately and protect yourself with sunscreen and a head covering. Also, heat and lots of movement really stresses your body, so you should drink enough water and keep a balanced diet.

If we are expecting a rainy festival weekend, a rain poncho and gumboots should be part of your festival luggage.

If there is a storm or thunderstorm, please keep the following in mind:

  • Stay calm, get your orientation and find a safe place to stay. Tents or pavilions are not a safe shelter - but a car is. Take care, help others, and offer shelter in your car.
  • Avoid trees, woods, pool and open field.
  • Keep your distance (at least 1m) from metal poles, towers and gazebos.
  • Prefer concrete and asphalt to grassy areas.
  • Seek out low-lying areas, such as Desert Valley.
  • In case of emergency: crouch down, put your hands and feet close together, and keep your distance from others.

Security checks (including body and bag searches) will be done by our security staff at the entrance. Please make sure to take only what is necessary and open your bags for a quick check. The following items are prohibited on the festival site and will be collected and disposed of by security:

  • Aggregates and car batteries
  • All kinds of means of transportation (exception: wheelchairs, rollators)
  • Animals/Pets
  • Banners, signs, symbols or flyers of any kind (signs supporting your favorite artist are excluded, of course)
  • Bottles, hydration packs, cans and Tetra Paks of any kind (we have enough drinks at fair festival prices as well as Free Water Stations on the festival site) (exception: empty foldable (plastic) drinking bottle with a capacity of up to 0.5 l)
  • Corrosive, flammable or coloring substances (e.g. color spray cans)
  • Drugs and intoxicants
  • Drones
  • Dry ice
  • Food of any kind
  • Furniture and items of any kind that can be identified as bulky waste
  • Glass bottles/containers of any kind (also perfumes, make-up, etc.)

At the start of the ticket sale every year there is a huge rush for PAROOKAVILLE tickets, so that many categories, such as the Regular Saturday Visa, the Comfort Camp or various VIP visas, are no longer available immediately or after a few days. The affected ticket category is marked “Not available”. In rare cases it can happen that reserved tickets from partners and sponsors come back in small numbers and are therefore available again for a short time.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee whether a category will go on sale again, so we advise anyone interested to get it as quickly as possible! Ticket sale start: 1 October 2023, 12:00 p.m.!

Special Needs

Everyone is welcome to visit our festival. That's why we make every effort to ensure that Citizens with a disability can also enjoy an unforgettable and unique festival experience. Citizens with a disabled person's pass (note "B") can request a ticket for an additional person free of charge.

To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Buy a ticket of the desired category and personalize it. Please note that only the ticket categories listed below are possible.
  2. Send us an e-mail with the order number and a picture of your disabled person's pass to infodesk@parookaville.com to register your companion.
  3. We will send you a free ticket of the corresponding category for your companion by e-mail.

ATTENTION: This rule is only valid for the following ticket categories:

  • Regular Full Weekend Visa
  • Combi: Regular Saturday + Sunday Visa
  • Regular Friday / Saturday / Sunday Visa
  • Regular Full Weekend Visa + Base Camp
  • Regular Full Weekend Visa + Green Camp
  • Add-On: Regular Full Weekend Visa + Caravan Empire

Accessible restrooms are in each hygiene area on the festival site. To avoid that the barrier-free toilets are used by all Citizens, they will be locked. The sanitary staff will open the doors for you. Just ask them to do so.

Accessible restrooms and showers can be found in selected hygiene areas (see map) on the campsite. Since these are also locked, just ask the sanitary staff.

NOTE: We are doing our best to make the festival experience as comfortable as possible for all Citizens. However, please note that conditions in parts of the festival and camping site may vary depending on the weather as not all areas are asphalted.

Of course, Citizens can bring their medicines to the festival. A doctor's prescription will ensure that you can bring them to the festival site. Necessary refrigeration facilities for medicines are available at the medical stations on site.

Electric wheelchairs can also be charged at the Johanniter stations free of charge.

Unfortunately, we do not have any special parking spaces for disabled persons as we cannot offer parking spaces directly at the entrance due to the condition of the site. However, our staff is instructed to assign a parking space near the shuttle bus stations to persons with disabilities, so that the distance to the shuttle bus stations is as short as possible for the persons concerned.

NOTE: If you have a wheelchair with you this will not be a problem as our shuttle buses are equipped for this purpose.

If you are arriving or being brought with another person you can be dropped off at our Kiss + Ride locations (pick-up and drop-off zones). There is one Kiss + Ride zone for the campsite and one for the festival area.

  • Campers must go to the zone "Kiss + Ride Campsite".
  • Day visitors must go to the zone "Kiss + Ride Day Visitors".

The platforms at the train station Weeze are accessible barrier-free. From here shuttle buses depart regularly to the festival site and the campsite which are also wheelchair accessible. For more information on how to get to the festival by train please click here.

NOTE: A shuttle bus ticket for your companion is not included in the free ticket you received from us. You have to book this ticket additionally.

We try to take everyone’s needs into account at our festival. That's why we not only have a large selection of vegetarian and vegan foods, but also gluten- and lactose-free foods. Labels can be found on the menus of our food & drink stands on site. If you are ever unsure about the ingredients, do not hesitate to contact our staff. They are always happy to help!

NOTE: If you do not have a certificate stating that you HAVE to bring certain foods with you, they will be taken from you during the check-in.

The heart of our campsite! In our PENNY stores you can find everything that makes your heartbeat faster around the clock - and at the original PENNY discount prices. This year there are again two PENNY stores at the PAROOKAVILLE marketplaces, so that all citizens are well looked after. Purchases in the PENNY Store can be conveniently paid for with debit or credit card as well as cash.

Further information about opening times and the range will follow later.

A day before the festival starts (THU, 19 July 2024) there will be a pre-party again.

In addition to the PENNY DJ Tower at the Marketplace, our Desert Valley will also open on Thursday evening with all its attractions, e.g., the Desert Valley Stage and Casa Bacardi.

PENNY DJ Tower: 12:00 – 00:00
Desert Valley: 05:00 – 00:00

The marketplace at the PENNY Store and Desert Valley are accessible to both Campsite Citizens and all Glamping Resort Citizens after appropriate security and access checks.

Everywhere at the campsite is paid with ING Tokens. ING Tokens are available at the ING Bank of PAROOKAVILLE and can be purchased by cash or debit and credit cards. ING Tokens can only be exchanged at the ING Banks of PAROOKAVILLE on the festival site or at the campsite (see map which will be published right before the festival).

PENNY store purchases can be paid by cash, debit or credit card.

To wash the dance sweat off your body, there will be the well-known festival washing troughs and numerous shower containers (including barrier-free showers at selected locations) at the campsites. You can use the washing troughs (with drinking water) free of charge at any time. The shower cabins with hot water cost 1 ING Token per visit. Also this year we offer the happy hour showers from 05:30 to 08:00 for half price (0,5 ING Token).

We will provide sufficient flush toilets (including accessible toilets) and traditional festival toilets at our campsite. All toilet areas are positioned so that they are always within a few minutes walk. All toilets are free and are cleaned several times a day. If fresh toilet paper is still needed or a toilet is dirty, please inform the cleaning team on site.

PAROOKAVILLE is always a bit of an adventure. Electricity is therefore only available in the shower islands for blow-drying or shaving. Smartphones can be charged at the charging stations using power banks. For this you have to bring your charging cable with you.

Alternatively, you can make it more luxurious for yourself: Campsite Citizens can rent a power station, which then supplies you with electricity directly in your camp and can be replaced by a new one at any time as soon as it is empty. The rental power station can be booked as an add-on.

ATTENTION: Power generators of all kinds (e.g., generators) and car batteries are not permitted on the campsite! Our security staff will also pay attention to this during check-in. If you want to listen to music with your own speaker, please note the rules under “Music”.

NOTE: At Caravan Empire there is an electrical connection in every plot block. More detailed information can be found here.

The following must be taken into account for barbecue, cooking and fire:

  • The use of disposable/tripod grills and gas camping stoves is permitted in front of the tent but must always be supervised. NOTE: Gas grills are not permitted, even if they are used with a gas cartridge.

  • The use of alcohol, gasoline or other flammable liquids is strictly prohibited. Only commercially available charcoal lighters may be used according to the instructions for use.
  • The grill must never burn or glow unattended.
  • If, for example, a storm is approaching, we will inform you in good time and, if necessary, have to forbid barbecues.
  • In the event of a fire, the security forces must be informed immediately.
  • Disposal of charcoal: The charcoal must neither be poured onto the lawn for burning nor disposed of in waste containers. There will be special charcoal/ash containers in which to dispose of it.
  • The use of open flames and the lighting of a campfire or open fire are strictly prohibited.
  • Bringing pyrotechnics is prohibited.

Powerbanks will be available at the festival site and the campsites. The powerbanks can only be purchased on site at the Townhall and at the Marketplace of the Base Camp. Once purchased you can always exchange the powerbank as soon as it is empty.

You can rent the lockers as an add-on (while stocks last) or on site depending on availability. When purchasing add-ons on site, additional costs must be expected.

NOTE: The locker can only be used during camp site opening hours.

A festival thrives from music. Of course you are allowed to play and listen to your own music on the campsite. However, please note that no aggregates or car batteries are allowed. Smaller Bluetooth boxes will be tolerated if they are powered by their original batteries. No homemade additional batteries, etc. are allowed. Also, please be respectful of all Campsite Citizens. The PENNY DJ Tower will provide Base Camp with live DJ sets and music for 5 days.

The Marketplace as well as several chill out areas on the campsites offer plenty of opportunities to sit and relax.

A tent offers little protection against theft. So: only bring what you absolutely need - less is more! Always carry your valuables with you (again, be careful!) or leave them in one of our official lockers.

Lost property can be dropped off or picked up at any time in our lost property office at the information points on the camp site and in the official lost property office in the town hall on the festival grounds. All lost property will be handed over to the lost property office of the municipality of Weeze approximately one week after the festival.

Clear rule: Glass bottles and glass containers are prohibited due to the risk of injury! There will be strict controls at the check-in. Cosmetics (e.g., perfume, deodorant, make-up) in glass containers are also prohibited and will be collected and disposed of by our security teams. Shishas are generally allowed, but only with an acrylic bowl. Collected glass bottles and glass containers will not be stored at the entrance and cannot be collected later.

Let's work together to keep our campsite clean and leave it clean. Take only essentials with you to our festival, throw your garbage in the garbage bins and containers and reuse your tents and pavilions.

With your ticket you paid a waste deposit of 10,00 Euro. When you check in at the campsite you will receive an empty garbage bag in combination with a garbage deposit coin. As soon as you have handed over the full garbage bag and the coin to our garbage deposit station, you will get the 10,00 Euro back.

You will also find a recycling center at our waste deposit station. You can dispose of your rubbish here around the clock. You can also place full garbage bags at the edge of the camping paths. Our garbage collection service then collects them.

Separate waste together for better recycling!

Come by the garbage deposit station during its opening hours and separate your garbage for better recycling. We separate into: yellow bag, paper/cardboard, residual waste. If you don't know which container a certain item belongs in, our recycling staff will be happy to help.

Recycling: tents
Tents, chairs and pavilions are not consumable items and can be reused. Please take your camping equipment, pools, etc. home with you. If you don’t want to take your tent with you again, please donate it. Just bring it to our garbage station. This way we can make great new things out of it and maybe you will find your tent again with us in the form of a new item.

Where: Garbage deposit station/recycling center
When: Sunday

Stay tuned!

The commercial collection of recyclables (especially returnable bottles, metals) is prohibited. Any violation of this ban may result in confiscation of the collected amount and immediate expulsion from the festival and camping grounds.

GENERAL GLAMPING RESORT INFORMATIONEN

This is what you get at the PAROOKAVILLE Glamping Resort. Here you will find high-quality tents and accommodation which you can easily check into. The different categories and detailed information about them can be found here.

Check-in: Thursday, 18 Juli 2024, from 10:00
Check-out: Monday, 22 Juli 2024, until 15:00

Glamping Resort Citizens use the check-in “Comfort & Deluxe”.

Expired ID documents or other documents (e.g. student ID, health insurance card, bank card, etc.) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

NOTE: Since the PAROOKAVILLE Visa are personalized, only people whose name on the ticket (“ticket holder”) and the name on the ID document match will be admitted. There are NO EXCEPTIONS! Further information regarding re-personalization is stated in Ticket Infos.

Add-ons, such as the VIP Full Weekend Upgrade or rental refrigerators, can be booked via the personal MyTicket portal. More information can be found here.

All Glamping Resort Citizens receive a certain amount of park tickets free of charge in the package they book. The ratio is always 2:1. This means that 2-person packages receive one free parking ticket and 4-person packages receive two parking tickets.

The heart of our campsite/Glamping Resort!

For Glamping Resort Citizens there is a shuttle bus that goes to the market square at the campsite, so you don't have to walk long distances.

Everywhere at the campsite/Glamping Resort is paid with ING Tokens. ING Tokens are available at the ING Bank of PAROOKAVILLE and can be purchased by cash or debit and credit cards. ING Tokens can only be exchanged at the ING Banks of PAROOKAVILLE on the festival site or at the campsite/Glamping Resort (see map which will be published right before the festival). Please keep in mind the opening hours for exchanges. An exchange/return after PAROOKAVILLE 2023 is NOT possible!

ATTENTION: To return ING Tokens you must present your PAROOKAVILLE ticket. So, make sure to have your e-ticket ready on your phone!

PENNY store purchases can be paid by cash, debit or credit card.

All showers (individual cabins) can be used free of charge throughout the weekend.

All accommodation in the glamping resort are set up and ready for occupancy. After check-in, accommodation will be allocated at reception.

Pavilions are generally not permitted in the glamping resort. The chill out areas offer numerous seating areas.

A free shuttle is available to all Glamping Resort Citizens to travel to and from the campsite marketplace at any time.

The following points must be taken into account for barbecue, cooking and fire:

  • The use of disposable/tripod grills and gas camping stoves is permitted in front of the tent but must be supervised at all times. NOTE: Gas grills are not permitted, even if they are used with a gas cartridge.
  • Gas camping stoves may only be used with gas cartridges (piercing and valve cartridges, such as the blue cartridges from the Campinggaz brand) with a maximum filling weight of 450 grams. Camping stoves using liquid fuel are not permitted.
  • The use of grills and gas stoves in the tent is strictly prohibited due to the risk of suffocation. ATTENTION DANGER TO LIFE!

There will be power banks at the campsite. The power banks can only be purchased on site at the town hall and on the market square at the PENNY Store. Once purchased, the power bank can always be replaced as soon as it is empty. Endless power – with green electricity.

Free lockers (only while stocks last!) are available to citizens at the glamping resort. If the key is lost, a fee of 3 ING tokens will be charged.

NOTE: Lockers can be used during glamping resort opening hours.
